Program Description

Kieser University's Associate of Science degree in Baking and Pastry Arts teaches the talents and skills utilized together for baking. Students will become adept at using the tools and equipment necessary to produce bakery products such as quick breads, yeast breads, cakes, frozen desserts, centerpieces, candies, cookies as well as various other pastries. Also included into the coursework are proper food service sanitation, supervisory procedures and nutrition.

Program Objectives

The following Kieser University's goals are intended to provide students the ability to: Begin entry-level bakers Utilize a number of different tools and equipment to allow for professional baking Recognize and make various desserts and pastries prepared by bakers.

It is necessary that 84.0 credit hours be completed to earn an Associate of Science degree in Baking and Pastry Arts.
