Program Description

Kieser University's Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science is specifically intended for graduates of associate of science programs in associated health fields. The coursework goes along with the professional role, interdisciplinary understanding and enhances the education already received and prepares students to graduate with a readiness to work in their chosen career.

Kieser University's mission and objectives are as follows:

  • To increase students' leadership abilities in the healthcare field
  • To investigate the political, legal and ethical issues that influence on the practice of healthcare
  • To develop interdisciplinary understanding and collaboration
  • To form a healthcare provider's ability to educate clients, colleagues or students

Prerequisite for Major Courses

  • Graduation from an accredited associate degree program in an associated health field
  • At least six months work experience prior

It is required of the student to successfully complete the following lower division courses must be successfully prior to enrolling into the upper division major courses:

  • DEP2004 Life Span Development
  • ECO102 Microeconomics
  • ENC2102 English Composition II
  • MAC2105 College Algebra or MGF2106, College Mathematics
  • STA2023 Statistics

Program requirements are as follows:

For the student to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science, there area total of 60.0 upper division credit hours that are required for completion.

NOTE: The student is not permitted to enroll into the upper division credit hours without successfully meeting the prerequisites (completion of lower division credit hours).
