Program Description

Kieser University's Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education focuses its teachings on elementary education and includes ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages). The first section focuses on the basics of teaching, using technology in the classroom and teaching different classrooms with a strong understanding of multiculturalism.

The second section discusses how to create a curriculum, assess the education, and manage a class, reading and literacy and ESOL strategies for classrooms. These provided courses all meet the standards of the Florida Department of Education for an Elementary Education degree.

Prerequisite for Upper Division Major Course

Successful completion of the lower division courses must meet the standards of being a 2.5 (on a 4.0 grading scale) or higher. Students must successfully pass the CLAST or the Praxis I examination.

Program Outline

A Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education is rewarded to those that complete 132.0 semester credit hours.
