Program Description
Kieser University offers students the opportunity to take advantage of the Associate of Science degree in Massage Therapy, which provides an inclusive training in Swedish massage and incorporates courses in hydrotherapy, allied modalities, sports massage, spa theory, Florida Massage Law, ethical procedures and business practices.
Program Objetives
Designed to meet Kieser University's mission and its objectives are the following goals in which we make available to the students:
- Internships in massage therapy that goes alongside a thorough study of anatomy and physiology
- Stress the importance of an effective massage
- Instill knowledge in regards to the professional nature of massage, together with state licensing and code of ethics
- Introduce students to allied modalities used as supplements to basic massage therapy
- Aid in job placement within the field to allow students to achieve employment as massage therapists
Prerequisite for Major Courses
Record of good health signed by student, background check and drug screening when necessary.
Program Outline:
An Associate of Science degree in Massage Therapy is comprised of a total of 70.0 credit hours.
Note: An Associate of Science Degree is regarded to be a terminal degree and is therefore, nontransferable.
