Program Description
Kieser University's Associate of Arts degree in Homeland Security has been specifically created to provide students with an inclusive study the major aspects of the Department of Homeland Security, the agencies that make up the Department and the laws, authorities and actions of the Department. Discussed in detail are the Hazardous materials identification and handling, acts of terrorism and the response and recovery actions of Homeland Security and will also cover the laws and legislative actions that give authority to all agencies.
Program Objectives
These objectives meet the standards of Kieser University's mission and its objectives and include materials and skills that are covered in the program:
- A comprehensive review of the largest factors that make up the Department of Homeland Security
- Articulately communicate in verbal and written formats
- A comprehensive study of domestic and international terrorism, including the agencies, responses and actions used to deal with it
Kieser University also aids graduates in finding entry-level positions in Homeland Security.

It is necessary that 60.0 credit hours be accumulated to obtain an Associate of Arts degree in Homeland Security.
