Program Description
Kieser University's Associate of Science degree in Computer-Aided Drafting prepares an entry level general designer, within a CAD environment, by teaching them the foundation design skills and techniques that they will require.
Students delve into the theoretical design process in the following areas: Architecture, mechanical, civil, electronic and structural engineering, along with 3-D modeling and 3-D animation specialties. Additionally, computer-assisted design is applied to all disciplines in a hands-on manner, in conjunction with traditional design training.
Program Objetives
To meet Kieser University's mission and objectives the following objectives have been designed.
- To increase a student's ability to design, draft and animate successfully using accepted industry standards
- To train students for jobs in animation and in architectural, civil, mechanical, structural and electronic engineering fields
Prerequisite for Major Courses
The student is required to uphold a G.P.A. of 2.00 or higher in their general education courses.
Program Outline
To receive an Associate of Science degree in Computer-Aided Drafting, students are expected to successfully earn 72.0 credit hours.
*An example of a terminal degree is an Associate of Science degree. The receiving institution reserves the decision on course transferability.
